Matina Magkou is co-Founder of KOΛEKTIVA. She is a freelance consultant specialised in cultural cooperation, cultural policy and the cultural and creative industries. As part of her consulting projects, she has worked, among others, on the development of a toolkit for fair cultural relations for EUNIC (2022), the evaluation of cultural networks (In Situ, European Theater Convention, ENCATC, Eurozine) and cultural cooperation projects (Culture@WorkAfrica, STARTS-Cultural Exchange), the OiRA platform for risk assessment for the live performance sector for Pearle* and European social partners (2013-2016).
Matina is a researcher at the SIC.Lab of the University of Côte d’Azur. She holds a Doctorate in Leisure Studies and Human Development from the University of Deusto, an EMBA from the IAE of Nice Graduate School of Management, a masters in Cultural Policy, Management and Communication from and a masters in European Studies from the University of Leuven. She has also served as the Head of Communications and Outreach of Athens Development and Destination Management Agency, as Public Relations officer at the European Parliament at the Madrid office, as a Senior Film Festival Operations Manager at the Doha Film Institute and the Athens Festival, and as responsible for Public and International Relations for the ECOC Patras 2006, among others.
